Learn tai chi where it is practised every morning

Five to seven days in Kunming. Each morning you train in the park with a teacher, beside local people who have practised for decades. The rest of the day is for Chinese medicine, tea, food and rest.

What you learn

Movement you can keep doing at home

Tai chi

The opening sequence of a traditional form, taught step by step, with attention to posture, balance and breathing.

Baduanjin

The Eight Brocades: eight simple movements that take about ten minutes, easy to remember and to practise daily.

Breathing and stillness

Questions

Tai chi camp FAQ

Do I need any experience?

What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothes and flat, soft-soled shoes. Mornings in Kunming can be cool, so bring a layer.

Yes. Classes work well for couples and families, and children are welcome.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the length of the camp, the hotel and the options you choose. You get a written quote before you travel.
